Home Grown Talent at Show Business Interiors
Show Business Interiors provides a very unique product of exceptionally high quality and this service relies on having an exceptional staff. Recognising this, Show Business Interiors has recently twinned with local colleges to develop an in house training scheme for apprentices. We currently have 2 apprentices in progress and they have been such an asset to the business that we have taken on two more apprentices to start their training programmes in the very near future.
Jack Statham is our Accounts Apprentice. A young man who already holds a degree in Mathematical Science, he has successfully completed the AAT Levels 2 and 3 and has recently progressed onto the AAT Level 4 in Accounting with Show Business Interiors. Jack has been very successful in his training and is a good example of the concept that if you give the right person the right training, you will end up with a wonderful employee who is trained for purpose. Jack has grown into his accounts role perfectly and won Accounting Apprentice of the Year with Macclesfield College in 2019. Jack has always wanted to be an accountant, asks lots of questions, enjoys to be challenged and has developed his skills so much that he is now a key member of the accounts team.
Sam Baker is our Warehouse Apprentice who is currently studying towards his Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage. Sam helps with all the general warehouse duties: goods in, receiving, house-keeping and supporting other areas as and when required. He will soon be starting training in forklift truck operation. Again, Sam has been a very positive and versatile addition to the team and has been trained to fill a specific gap in staff resource, which is hugely beneficial to the business.
Our two new apprentices are training in Sales and Operations, respectively. We are currently discussing their progression routes and courses and we have high hopes that these new starters will be equally beneficial to the business as we have had such a positive experience with our other two apprentices. It is brilliant that we can make such a positive impact on a person’s future at the same time as developing a great employee for Show Business Interiors. Watch this space to see how the training programme and apprentices develops further- we expect great things from them in the future!
